WHAT IS EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM?
Society for Human Resource Management defines Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as a work-based intervention designed to identify and assist employees in resolving personal problems, for example: marital, financial or emotional problems; family issues; substance/alcohol abuse, retirement and retrenchment, trauma in the workplace, etc, that may be adversely affecting the employee’s performance.
